Soups have been eaten for centuries in the Kingdom of Siam and are an essential part of the traditional Thai meal.
Prepared from stock, Thai soups are among the most flavoursome because of the number of highly flavoured ingredients like coconut milk, lemon grass and kaffir lime leaves. They can be eaten on their own as a starter or with rice, and for a fuller meal you just need to add pieces of chicken or prawns.
